Kesho Y. Scott has won an American Book Award (for TIGHT SPACES) and a Human Rights Award (for THE HABIT OF SURVIVING: BLACK WOMEN’S STRATEGIES FOR LIFE).  Her imaginative writing and breadth of experience as a cultural competency trainer has made her a sought-after keynote speaker on the international lecture circuit. 


She has also appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Sonia Live, Iowa Public Television, and CNN. Currently, Professor Scott is completing her next book entitled Lessons From Unlearning Twenty Years of Race "isms", which outlines the unlearning racism process and institutional practices of intolerance and “isms.”
